about

As the final track from the album, "Nocturne" provides reassurance that everything will turn out the way it should. Originally written to convey the feelings of waking from a dark night and deep sleep, this song becomes a relief from the tension building from the rest of the album. In the end, we will last the night.

lyrics

[Intro]
[Something stirs inside your mind.]
[Breathe.]
[Verse 1]
Open your eyes
Let the new day begin
Joy comes in the morning
It’s on it’s way in

[Verse 2]
Oh, wonderful life
What have you in store?
Both triumph and heartbreak
There has to be more

[Pre-Chorus]
And as each day goes by
This emptiness that cries

[Chorus]
Will not last one night
Not if we stand and fight
Darkness can’t cover light
It will be cast out
If we stand together now

[Verse 3]
There’s no need to cry
You’re not giving in
These moments of sorrow
Don’t mean it’s the end

[Pre-Chorus]
And as each day goes by
This emptiness that cries

[Chorus]
Will not last one night
Not if we stand and fight
Darkness can’t cover light
It will be cast out
If we stand together now

[Bridge]
And as each day goes by
This emptiness that cries
Can’t hurt you all the time
It’s only in your mind
And yes, I promise I
Will make it out alive
For we will soar so high
And vanish in the sky

[Chorus]
And we’ll last the night
Only if we stay and fight
Darkness can’t cover light
It will be cast out
If we hold on we will last the night
Only if we stay and fight
Darkness can’t cover light
It will be cast out
If we stand together now
[Outro]
